The Banqueting Hall
Our largest event space
The Banqueting Hall is the most spacious venue in Moltkes Palæ, and offers an exceptional setting for a multitude of events. The Banqueting Hall is especially suitable for grand gala dinners, large wedding receptions, conferences, exhibitions, general assemblies and other large events.
The hall is also one of Moltkes Palæ’s ’newer’ venues, built when the Håndværkerforeningen København (Association of Craftsmen in Copenhagen) acquired Moltkes Palæ in 1930.
The spaciousness is unmistakable. In every way, the Banqueting Hall is a captivating ballroom decorated with large chandeliers, high ceilings and stunning natural light.
In classic style yet with a more contemporary vibe, the Banqueting Hall is decorated with stucco created by sculptors Thomas Hansen and Edvard Eriksen – the latter of whom also sculpted the famous Little Mermaid on Langelinie. The stucco ornamentation was sponsored by the Carlsberg Foundation, and the walls and ceiling are adorned with a subtle narrative depicting the many different crafts represented in the Håndværkerforeningen København (Association of Craftsmen in Copenhagen).
